Marcel Montrose is a leader in Canada’s marine and shipbuilding sector, recognized for translating complex technical challenges into practical, strategic solutions. As Founder and President of Lir Maritime Consulting Ltd. and General Manager of Glovertown Shipyard, he brings extensive experience across shipbuilding, vessel operations, engineering management, and ocean technology innovation.

With senior roles in the Canadian Coast Guard and in industry, including BMT and Fleetway, Marcel has contributed to major national programs and fleet initiatives across the CCG, Royal Canadian Navy, and commercial sectors. His work spans ship repair, system upgrades, R&D, and digital modernization, with a focus on strengthening capability and advancing sustainable growth.

He is an active contributor to the marine innovation ecosystem, serving on PSPC's Marine Industry Advisory Committee, the Oceans Advance Board of Directors and Industry Advisory Council, and has held leadership roles with MTS and SNAME.
